Cali:
I nodded and grabbed her flymask. I called her over and put it on, making sure everything was perfect before stepping back and laughing, "Ta-da!"

Cyrus:
Smiling, I left Mist's stall.
"Now Mr. Darcy, you be nice." The gelding looked up at me with his big chocolate brown eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Who, me?"

Cali: I watched him go and turned back to Mist. "Good girl." I murmured to her quietly. I noticed my wrists were showing and pulled my sleeves down over them, embarrassed. OCC-Writer's Block!!

Cyrus:
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked I noticed a slight look of discomfort.

Cali:
I looked over at him and blushed. "Um... just my... my..." I trailed off. I just pulled up my sleeves so he could see my guilt of the past, my cut up wrists. The story was a long one, but if I had to tell it, I would. "I don't really like people being able to see them." I said after a minute.

Trillium: that's it, i could positively not hold that sneeze in any longer. "A-A-A-CHOOOO!" the hayloft resounded with the echo, and my book plopped to the floor at the feet of the new girl. i slid down the polished ladder, smiling sheepishly. "torry to innerrupt uo guys. allergies." i blew my nose, dusted off my hideously lacy dress, and bounded out of the stables as fast as my high heels could carry me. Cousin Milty would be so mad!!! i had fallen asleep reading again, and i was probably expected to sign in the new girl. about halfway across the quad, i decided to turn around and go back from whence i had commeth. i felt so bad for intruding on Cyrus and Newgirl's heart-to-heart conversation. i moseyed back in there, and said, "sorry again. i promise i wasn't listening in... i just fell asleep reading during my break and woke up five minutes ago."

Cali:
I was about to answer, when a book landed at my feet. I yelped and put my hand up to my heart. A girl came down and ran out of the barn. Then she came back and apologized. I took a deep breath from my sudden scare and smiled. "It's okay. I'm Cali." I said and offered her my hand to shake.

Trillium: i vigorously shook Cali's hand. i didn't want to start off with a dead fish hanshake, as that signifies a weakness in personality. "welcome to Berryhill. your horse is beautiful." i said wistfully, wishing for the quadrillionth time that i was allowed to ride. "i'm sure you both will love it here. just make sure to get on Milton's good side- he's my cousin, and trust me when i say that he has a very short temper." then, i heard hoofbeats in the stable yard outside. "i'll go see who's here." Owen: i rode Maniac in front, with Katie, Yuliya, Sidney, Arin and Mary Anne close behind. "Hi, Trilly." i told my boss's younger cousin, giving her Maniac's reins. though her parents barred her from riding, she loved taking care of horses. "i'll go tell Mr. B you're here, and then he can come help us choose horses."

Cyrus:
"Hi Trillium," I said, shaking my head through all of it. The sound of horses hooves meant that Owen was back, and it looked like he brought some friends. "Hey there Owen!" I called out. Turning back to Cali, I whispered a little bit, "There's nothing a horse can't fix."

Cali:
I smiled at Trillium. "Thank you, I'm sure I will." I agreed with her. Then she went to see who was there and Cyrus turned to me and said there's nothing a horse can't fix and I laughed. "How true!" I agreed with him, pulling my sleeves back over my wrists. I whispered to him, "If you want, I'll tell you about you-know-what later."

Mary Anne: Owen ran to tell the stable manager that we were here. There seemed to be pandemonium going on in the stable, with a new girl and her gourgeous horse arriving, in addition to us, another stable hand showing her around, and a frazzled looking girl in a frilly outfit that I assumed was the secretary or something to that tune. Fortune wasn't fazed, and I was glad about that! This place looked so... classy. Fresh pine shavings lined that stall floor, each stall had an individual nameplate (bearing names such as 'Tempestuous Sumatra' and 'Obelisk of Thebes.' ), and all the horses seemed to wear superior expressions. The new girl on the ground looked like a normal person, though, not like that Juicy Coture'd princess I had seen squishing through the courtyard in stilletto boots. "Hi! I'm Mary Anne!" I said brightly to her and the stable hand.
Whitley: Owen had finally returned, with, to my great chagrin, FIVE girls. I mean, I know he's good looking and all, but... I stomped across the yard and into the barn, just as Owen rode out, to give all five a piece of my mind. What if they came from Sterling Stables? Our biggest rival in raising the finest horses in Nevada, and in competitions. I hoped for their sakes that Sterling Stables people had not shown their faces here.

Yuliya:
This stable was so big and...un-horsey. I couldn't even smell them, what was the point of that? It was my favorite smell! Black Jewel seemed irritated, I had been on her back too long. I shifted off her back to give her a little space. I could hear her chewing on her bit. There sure were a lot of people here...normally, I would scream and then run up to each person and ask their name, but I now had a horse, and she didn't like it. I stood loyaly by her, ready to calm her if she got startled.

Cali:
I smiled at Mary Anne and offered my hand to shake. "Hello, I'm Cali!" I said happily as even more people came.

Mary Anne: "Nice to meet you, Cali!" I said. Berryhill seemed totally different from Sterling in the fact that it was so... impersonal. Not like Sterling, with the exposed pine flooring, bright red barn, and wildflower-strewn fields. All those things made it seem authentic and cozy. All the shine and glamour of this place seemed like it would make it a better place to keep a museum's collection than horses! "What brings you to Berryhill, Cali? A new horse? Your horse is so beautiful, by the way!"
Whitley: "Sterling Stable, I presume?" I asked a red-headed grl in the most superior voice I could.
