Katie: I arrived at Berryhill before any of my riders, all except for Trillium. i had met her on the road, where she exchanged her four-wheeler for the car. we zipped back to Sterling, and i helped her transform into someone named Francesca Z. Blade. She looked entirely different- Long, straight black hair, elegant makeup, dark sunglasses, and an outfit comprised of canvas capris and a flowy orange tunic top that was definately NOT Trillium. The party planner's gaudy pink Hummer was parked outside of the main lobby. Trillium and i entered- i had a feeling that Miley was out riding around the track, but she and the others would arrive shortly. "Anybody home?" i called.
Milton: As i was fastidiously combing my hair in my office, i heard Katherine Sterling call from the foyer. usually, i would have sent my cousin out to greet her, but Trillium had some tutoring job to go to. "coming!" i said, and then marched out into the entrance. my archrival was there with a new student. "This is Francesca Blade, my newest student. She's a dressage champ!" Katie proclaimed. the poor girl looked very nervous, but that was understandable- going from homely little Sterling stables to the grandeur of Berryhill in just a few minutes.

Milly: I rode up with some others and dismounted ground tying Lyra. I then put Kale and Jacky's horses in th barn going inside. I heard Katie and Milton talking and took a deep breathe. I saw MIlton first then a dark haired girl that looked like she could be Trillium's twin with dark hair smiled realizing it WAS Trillium with a wig and Very different clothes. "Hello, all!" I called and smiled at them all, including the sour pickle Milton. "It's a very lovely day wouldn't you say?" I asked with a sweet smile. "Yes, I would." I spun to see Kale and smiled broadly. "Good morning Kale." I said cheerfully and pointed toward the barn. He nodded and went that way giving us all a hello then disappeared out the door. "So where's the dresses?" I asked turning back to them and trying to ignore Katie and Trill's knowing looks that they were sending my way.

Sydney: I had driven over to Berryhill in my jeep for the dress fittings. I hadn't decided if I should ask Mike to come to the ball with me or wait and see if he'd ask me himself. Although I hoped the latter would come true. As for dresses, I had ruled out anything pink. Pink makes me look ill, certinly not proper for ball attire. Katie, Trill and Milly were already here and Milton has just come out of his office to say hello. I could hardly stand that sight of the man, but I still walked over to join the the group. "Hi" I said shortly, the less I had to say to him the better.

Milly: "Hey, girl." I called giving my best southern accent just to agitate Milton. Brits! Jacky walked into the room and a smiled. OKay, some were great people. Like Jack. "Jack! Come here." He smiled and came over hugging me. "HOw are you?" I asked and he shook his head. "You just saw me yesterdady." I smiled. "I know. That was a while a while ago though." He laughed and looked at everyone searching. LOooking for someone? I gave a michevous smile. "Who are you looking for?" I asked quietly. "Maybe I can help." He looked down at me and raised a curious eyebrow. "Ladies,MAy I take Miss Micheals for a second?" We walked away and I smiled at him. When we got around to where we couldn't be heard I stopped him and turned to him. "Who?" IS all I said. He sat down and shrugged. "I only saw a glimpse of her." He said a bit miserably. "Well what does she look like?" I asked softly, trying to be sensitive. "She has red hair I think. Um...oh, and lovely hazel eyes." I gave a squeal and sat beside him. "Her name's Arin and she doesn't have a date yet. At least I don't think she does." Jack groaned and looked at me. "Don't you dare." I took his tone and nodded. "Okay. I won't but your a nice guy maybe...' "NO!" I jumped and nodded. "Okay." He sighed and rubbed my sholder. "Beside, what hirl wants to dance with a guy who has a bum leg, huh?" I gave him sad smile and shook my head. "I would but...You know." He nodded. "Yes, I do. Your a horrible dancer and we would be the laughing stock." I giggled and he smiled softly. "Well I gotta go now. YOu know dresses and all." He shook his yes then got up leaving me watching him gimp away. "No one may like, but I know that if anyone has your heart it will be one of the most wonderful things that could happen." I said softly to his retreating back. "And no one dances with you. I will just to show you someone cares." I then turned and walked back to where the others stood. ooc:Okay I know It's long but I was bored!!!!

MAry Anne: I contemplated where to put Piper- he wasn't even breathing hard from our light canter down to Berryhill, and still wanted to play, not be cooped up in a stall! "Ah-HA!" I announced, spying an empty corral. 'Meanie Milto' (as Katie called him) could move him, or rather, get some poor schmo who worked for him to do so, but Piper needed somewhere to relax! And, I needed to get into the lobby before all the good dresses were spoken for! And all the boys! I thought absently. I counted us up on my fingers: for girls, there was Milly, Miley, Arin, Trillium, Whitley (uggh!), me, Katie, Sydney, and Francesca, I guess, though maybe I shouldn't count her and Trill separately because they couldn't be in the same place at once! That made eight. For boys, hmmm... Owen, Kale, Jackson, Justin, Theo (sigh!), Mike, and Milton (if i was going to count Katie as a love-sick teenage girl, I had to count Milto as a potential counterpart... he wasn't that old!) which made seven! therefore, one girl would have to go without a date. "Whitley!" I said aloud, remembering her abject flirtation with Theo and pretentious bragging. As mean as I sounded saying it to myself, it might be fun to have her there, just to see her reaction...
I entered the lobby to see 'Francesca' looking both highly fashionable and nervous, Katie lying through her teeth as she introduced her, chatting with Syd, and Milly and Jackson having an entirely deep discussion in the corner. Kale was on his way out. Maybe at Milly's bidding? I thought, remembering how she had singlehandedly taken the edge off the slightly arrogant new rider at Berryhill. "Hello, everyone!" I chirped, eyeing the trunk wheeling in the door to my right, and the middle-aged woman behind it who, with her wrinkle-less face, severe eyebrows, and arrest-me-red, pursed lips, looked like she had had a bad scare.
Ms. Pickman: "Is everyone here yet?" I didn't think so, but was impatient to get going. I took a head count- Katie Sterling, looking slightly suspicious, A new girl, who I promptly dubbed Nerva because of her shifty glances, face-hiding hair, and dark sunglasses, Girl-Who-Is-Famous-In-The-Horse-World, Girl-Who-Gave-That-Redheaded-Boy-The-What-For, Boy-Who-Had-An-Accident-Of-Some-Sort-But-Looks-To-Be-Better-Now, Girl-With-Windblown-Hair, and Milton.

Sydney: I turned around when Ms. Pickman entered the room. She seemed to be sizing us up, the look she gave me sent shivers up my spine for a moment. Get a grip, I was used to pressure, or at least I had been. "Hello Ms. Pickman, I'm Sydney Bristow. Most of us are here" I said with a quick glance around the room.

Arin: "Oh, are you going to be fitting us with these lovely dresses?" i asked. out of the corner of my eye, i noticed Milly and Jackson, with his leg in a cast, whispering about something, and looking my way. Was Milly trying to convince her friend to ask me to the ball?! Even though that was very sweet of her, i would never in a million years go out with someone who didn't want to go out with me- he would be miserable!!! i saw Milly throw a punch at his shoulder and my suspicions were confirmed; she was resorting to violence to convince him! now, my mind was made up- i would, under no circumstances, go out with Jackson.
Trillium: my wig was a little hot; we had to get out of the frying pan, now! layering my voice with what i decided was an Eastern European accent, i said, "Miss Katie, could ve start to tvry on ze... zeee... dresses now?"

Justin:
i walked into the lobby and saw all the girls and Milton. i scanned the room and no sign of Trill or Miley. i made a huge commotion and grabbed to horses, Eagle Spirit, and Genuine Risk. i ground tied Eagle and cross-tied Risk in her stall. i groomed and saddled Eagle tied him in his stall, then did the same with Risk. with both horses ready for a ride, i walked over to Mrs. Sterling and the sterling girls for an introduction. "hello ladies, i am Justin Buck. have any of you seen Trill and Miley. wait, hold on one second." i heard hooves pounding on dirt and it sounded like it was coming from the race track. i jogged over to Mr. Berryhill's office and looked out the window that showed the whole back area of Berryhill Stables. i saw a misty grey mare with a rider with long reddish brown hair with a bay mare with a rider with short black hair. i jogged back to the girls. "nevermind Miley i found her but have any of you seen Trillium, i want to go for a ride with her after she is done gettting a dress." i said.
OOC: Hotspot if you want i can make another guy. so then every girl has a date.

Mike: I had just checked on Taz after a few routine chores and wanted to ask Milton if he had any special plans in mind for his training. When I found him, he was standing by Katie Sterling and the other Sterling riders filled the room. I looked for Sydney and when I found her she was looking right at me. Our eyes met for a moment and I waved and mouther a hello to her. She waved back and nodded, before walking over to me. I met her halfway.
Sydney: "Hi" I said, "You could have told me you rode for Berryhill. It's not like I bite or anything." I said blurting out my hurt feelings that he hadn't told me the truth.
Mike: "I truly am sorry, that was wrong of me. Can we start again?"
Sydney: "Sure," I answered with a slight grin. "I'm Sydney Bristow" I said extending my hand.
Mike: "Michael Vaughn, you can call me Mike" I replied taking her hand.
Sydney: The moment our hands touched I felt something. I know that the true love, fireworks out of the park kinda stuff always happens in the movies but was this the real deal? "Nice to meet you Mike. I'm going to go join my friends, I'll see you around." I said rushing off before I blushed or anything embarrassing.
Mike: "Yeah, see ya." I watched her leave completely in a daze. Then I glanced around and saw Milton. Wait, what did I want to see him for? Oh yeah, duh! Get a grip Mike!

Milly: I walked over to Arin's side and smiled at Ms. Pickman. "Hello, ma'am. I'm Milly Micheals." I exstended my hand just keeping myself from curtstying to her in faux southern beele style. I looked at Arin and the others with an "I dare you to laugh' look. I turned to Arin. "May I speak to you for a moment?" I asked hardly waiting for her answer before I pulled her away from the group. I normally wasn't so brave but when it came to my friends and there feelings I was right in the middle of it trying to fix it. Abd I needed to to help Jack. Even though I'd said I wouldn't the look on Arin's face told me that she had thought that I was trying get them together. Okay so I was but that's beside the point. The point is that she and He were hopefully misinformed about each others feelings. I turned to her and sat her down. "What is it that you don't like about, Jack?" I asked coming to the point quickly. "I mean he's a great guy, not for me mind you but....What is it?" I asked trying not to stomp my foot like a child. I wanted them both to be happy but I first wanted know all there reasons for not liking each other. I'd already found out about Jack liking her ALOT! Now I had to find out why Arin didn't like him at all. I waited for her answer seeing Jack looking at me from the group. He swoled and I shrugged. He shook his head at me but I just smiled looking back down at Arin. "Well?"
Jack: I watched Milly pace while talking to Arin and knew what she was doing. Meddling! I looked over as Kale walked in amd smiled. Well I could meddle too. "Hey, Kale let's go watch Miley practice." I looked back at Milly and smiled smugly. SHe glared and I shrugged liked she had.
Kale: "Sounds good." I said then watched the exchange between him and Milly. As we went out I looked at Jack. "Something I should know about?" I asked with a slighly upset voice. I cleared my throat then looked at him again. He shook his head and kept walking. "So...what do you think about our Milly?" He asked and I knew what hwas going on. "I think she's great and I would love to go on a date with her." Jack stopped quickly and blinked. "You hurt and they find strewn though out the woods, Understand?" I swallowed and nodded. "I sure do." I replied then looked back looking for anyone to send out a help plea.

OOC: it's fine, ps94. if it all works out, everyone will have a date except for Whitley, and she sure doesn't deserve one. but i'll bet that blu's going to have that deceitfull baggage throw some monkey wrenches around and try to steal guys. ah, the drama!
Arin: Milly pulled me over into a corner, and asked what i didn't like about Jack. oh, no, this was all happening too fast!!! "There's nothing i don't like about him," i said, evenly. "It's just that i don't know him hardly at all. the only time i saw him was when we were riding in the woods, and we all know that that ended in disaster." i then decided to not beat around the bush. "Are you trying to force the poor guy to ask me to the ball?" i also decided against pointing out that i had feelings for a certain other boy of Berryhill, one that was as good as engaged.
Katie: "So you're Sydney's competitor! you certainly have your work cut out for you, Mr. Vaughn." i said jovially. and then, he shook Syd's hand... even from where i stood a yard away, i could hear the faint strains of Lara's Theme from "Dr. Zhivago" playing and the steady boom of heart-shaped fireworks. Awwwwww!
Trillium: I was idling by the dress trunks, just waiting for someone to get the show on the road. was cousin Milton looking at me strangely?!?! he couldn't possibly suspect the truth!

Mary Anne: "Hello, Ms. Pickman. I'm Mary Anne Mallory, nice to meet you!" I shook her hand in what I hoped wasn't a dead-fish handshake. Those give bad impressions.
Ms. Pickman: "Hell-oo." I said faintly, shaking yet another hand, this time of a girl who still smelled faintly of her horse. She almost crushed my hand, but at least it wasn't a dead-fish handshake. Those leave bad impressions. "Let's move right along, shall we?" I directed this last comment towards two girls who were whispering sneakily in the corner. Then, I called out to two boys who appeared to be leaving, "And send in the girl who is out on the track. She is... needed."
Whitley: I arrived fashionably late, as usual. All the Sterling girls were alreadythere, along with a new, dark-haired girl with an Eastern European accent. I felt immedately threatened, a feeling I'm not quite used to. I am, after all, quite used to being far superior to everyone around me! I nodded to Miltonand Ms. Picky, not aknowleging the presence of anyone not up to caliber.

Justin:
i saw Francesca walk over to the dresses. i followed her but slowly. i approached her and whispered to her. "are you ok?" i looked around and grabbed Francesca's arm and tugged her along down the hallway to my already saddled horses. "are you good at Cross Country? cus i need yours and Miley's help with training Eagle Spirit for the competition." i said patting Eagle's neck. he was an amazing horse but i had never tried him at Cross Country so this was going to be interesting.

Sydney: I blushed at Katie's comment, "That's right Mr.Vaughn, we're going to fly by you as if we have wings." Mike: "Is that so?" I said raising an eyebrow. I wanted to make a swift remark back but my father was famous for saying, It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. So I nodded, made a half bow and announced "Excuse me ladies, Milton." And with that I made an efficient exit. I think Taz and I will go for a little gallop today So I proceded to the tack room to grab his saddle and bridle. Sydney: I was actually surprised at my own words, we're going to fly by you as if we have wings what was I thinking!?! I followed Trill and a few other girls to Ms. Pickman trunks of dresses when a wonderful idea came into my head. I wonder if Ms. Pickman has any dresses with wings....OOC: Thanks for the wing tip Hotspot!

Milly: I could see it in her eyes, She loved another guy. "No, I'm not trying to force him to. He would ask himself if he didn't think you'd turn him down. From the look on your face though I think you would, wouldn't you?" I asked kindly. Ms Pickman called us over but I ignored her. "Which guy is it, Arin?" I asked with sad look for her. I knew what it was like to love a guy and find out that he just thought of me as a friend and was dating another girl seriously. It had broken my heart to find that out but...I had gotten over it.
Jack: The prune asked us to call in Miley and I nodded looking at Kale with crossed eyes as we walked out I repeated her words. "So who are you taking to the Ball?" I asked him with a grin.
Kale: As if you don't know already." I replied with a grin then asked him the same.
Jack: "No one." I shrugged. "I just don't have girl liking me." Skaing my head a gave a slightly pained laugh adn looked out across the fields adn tothe track where Miley was practiing. "I thought I had a chance with Milly till you came along. Then she just left me behind and...Well whatever." We came up to the track and waited for Miley to stop. "Ms. Pickman says for all of us to go back to the whatever it is." I grinned and shook my head. "But anyways she want all over there. "Miley nodded and moved her horse away. "Well let's head back. Kale agreed adn we walked back to the barn.
Kale: I walked back with Jack thinking about what he'd said to me. I'd never known what it was like Not to have girl liking me. He'd didn't know what it was like to have them like him. I shook my head and hoped that some girl at the Ball would at least dance with him and I didn't mean Milly.
