Amanda:
I lead November to his stall and he started to nuzzle me. I laughed and remembered the first time I had seen him and wanted to ride him. It was when I had first come here and Arin and Mary-Anne were showing me the horses. They wanted to see me ride. So they said I could ride one of the lease horses, I chose November and we jumped a course. I had unsaddled November and thought about buying him again. The thought could not leave my head. Should I buy him? I really liked November and we were a great team! We could compete in alot of shows. But then I thought about Celtic again. I still had tons of training to do on her and she may get more lonley without me. I could not stand seeing Celtic that way. I put Novembers tack up and gave him some food and water. Then I went down to Celtics stall. She was laying down in her stall dozing off. She heard my footsteps and opened her eyes, immedialey getting up. She whinnied to me. I gave her a big hug, tears almost comeing to my eyes. But I stopped them from leaving them. I went inside her stall and started to talk to her soothingley. She seemed to like it, ears pricked at every word. She was calming down. I started to sing a song. She calmed even more that her eyelids were shut. I wondered if I should start to train her now. Everyone was gone and training or they were out on the trials. I decided that this was probabley the only time I had for right now.

Amanda:
I decided that the first thing I should do was saddle Celtic and get her use to the saddle. So I went to the Tack Room and got out one of my blankets first. I came back to the stall showing Celtic the blanket and putting it in her face. She flinched when it came closer. I did it agina and she flinched again. I talked to her soothingley while I came to her with the blanket. I got close to put it on her shoulder but she ran off to the corner of her stall. I waited a minute then came torwards her with the blanket again this time singing calmley. She pricked her ears and looked at me calmley. I came close to her and she stood still, trusting me, but a little scared and was ready to run if she had to. I kept singing. Then I put it to her shoulder she stood still, then turned her head to sniff at it. I said "See, its not going to hurt you" I put the blanket farther up onto her back and she almost bucked but I started to sing again, and she calmed down a bit. I kept singing while putting it on her back. I got it on her back and she stood still. Now we had to try the saddle.

Amanda:
I came back with the saddle and showed it to Celtic. The saddle would be much harder. Celtic sniffed the saddle then looked away. I moved torwards her back and she started to tense up. I put the saddle on her shoulder and she flenched away. I did it again and she moved to the back of her stall. I started to calm her own and talk to her as I came up again. This time she let it touch her shoulder the I moved it to her back and she almost bucked. I started to sing and do it again, but she ran to the back of her stall again. I sang again and she calmed down, I made sure she could see and hear me and then I tried putting the saddle on her back again. She stood still for a minute but once it was sitting on her back she bucked the saddle off. I picked it up and got all the hay off of it. I tried again, I got it on her back and she turned her head to sniff the saddle again. I said "Good girl, Celtic!" Now we had to try to do the girth, this would be difficult....

Amanda:
I talked calmley to Celtic and started to pet her belly, where the girth would be at. She let me touch her, I then reached for the girth and pulled it around, really losse so it would not touch her stomache. I let it stay like that for a minute, then I started to pull it tighter, it was still very loose, but just barley touching her stomache. Celtic started to prance around, I started to sing again, she stood still, ears pricked torwards me. I came back up to her again and was reaching for the girth but she pulled away. I started to sing again and she let me come up to her again. I thought that I should lead her somewhere else now, becuase she might start to buck like crazy if I tighten the girth anymore, plus she needs to walk around in it. So I lead Celtic to the pastures.

Amanda:
I cam back with Celtic and started to take the tack off. As I undid the girth she almost kicked me. Then I took the saddle and blanket off her back and put them away. She seemed tired and glad the tack was off. I patted her neck and said "Good girl, celtic. The saddle and pad is not going to hurt you" I left her stall and Celtic started to doze off.

instead of heading over to Berryhill like i was i stayed at Sterlings and saw Amanda i think working with a pinto yearling. i dismounted off of Nutmeg and walked her to her stall next to Miley's horses. i took off her tack and then gave her a good grooming. i put her in the stall and then walked over to Amanda. "which horses are yours?" i asked her.

Amanda:
I did not know how Celtic would react to another person, she is only really used to me. But she needed to get used to other people sooner or later, and I was to busy with the competition and practicing with November and the ball. So, I siad "Sure, thanks. I have been really busy and I could really use some help"
