Sydney: "Very good Arin! Now, not only do you want a relaxed seat but your hands and legs should be soft also. Those of you who are in Dressage understand the importance of this. This slightest hand/leg movement should be all that your horse needs." To demonstrate, I gently asked Sam to walk in a circle, barely moving my hands or legs. "Some horses will be more sensitive to your movement than others, be patient. Any horse can be directed from the slightest signal." With that, I stop Sam, placed my reins on his neck and took both feet out of the stirrups, then, using just my legs/seat asked Sam to walk again, and he did.

OOC: Yahoo!!!! How about I make a final post to close the clinic so it's a bit, finished? I'll go ahead and post for now and remove it later if you'd like Hotspot. Sydney: The rest of the clinic ran smoothly and I enjoyed being back in the Equestrian realm. Sam enjoyed showing off his good behavior, too. When the clinic was over I told everyone good bye before heading to the barn to give Sam a well deserved grooming/massage. What a perfect end to a perfect day...
