Sydney: June and I followed Trill at a trot. Riding astride wasn't at all a problem so I decided to try side-saddle, which at least might be a bit more lady like when dismounting after the entrance this evening. I stopped June and swing my right leg over her withers and asked her to trot once more. It was difficult to balance at first but the more I focused on keeping my center, the easier it was. "This isn't so bad." I called, trotting June in a circle.

Mary Anne: "For you, maybe, Syd!" I said, hiking the burlap skirt up in order to reach Piper's tall stirrup. I bounced, then nearly soared over the saddle before checking myself and settling into place. "It's not so bad once you're aboard, though!" My right leg hung limply, but I was able to cue some dressage moves with the left heel. "Let's choreograph the grand entrance!" I bellowed, moving Piper into a piaffe and pretending to sound a trumpet.

Sydney: I blushed, then guided June to follow Mary Anne and Piper. We really did look like a parade, riding side-saddle on our beautiful horses. Plus we were wearing a costume of sorts... "I wonder if Berryhill is hosting their own 'mini' entrance..."

Arin: "actually, when i got here, Katie said that Ms. Pickman had something planned. she's coming over to give us 'dramatic entrance 101' eventually." i said. "i'm a little worried. she doesn't seem to horsey, does she? i hope we can mamnge it! hopefully, no jumping."

Sydney: "I certainly hope not! Riding side saddle is one thing." Then I though about what would happen if we HAD to jump, unprepared. "But this does bring up an interesting point, maybe we should try a small jump or two. Besides, if we can jump, we KNOW we can ride!"

mary Anne: "Ummm, don't look now, guys, but I think she's here!" I said, gesturing down the road to the dust cloud billowing around a yellow Hummer. "But I'll try a jump now!" There was a small jump in the corner of the paddock, and I cantered toward it, Piper's graceful stride making the gait easy, even sidesaddle. As he gathered himself for the jump, i quickly thought, oh, no! What have I gotten myself into??? , but it was too late to turn back. We soared over the jump, and though I was almost unseated when we touched down on the other side, I leaned far to the right to compensate, and stayed in the saddle. "Yee-ha! That was wunnerful!" I hollered, trotting back to my friends.
Mrs. Pickman: I maneuvered down the dirt road carefully, hoping not to coat my hummer with more dust than necessary. I was on a mission, and I would need to bring some semblance of elegance to this stable, which was significantly less polished than Berryhill stables. I saw several girls, most of whom I recognized from the dress fittings, jumping their horses SIDESADDLE. And they were wearing the most bohemian-looking skirts! They obviously had adroit fashion sense! Maybe this new style could profit me... but I was getting another creative flash. I could add jumping into their routine!

Alisa- After I had rested for a while at home and went to my doctor, they gave me the ok to go back to the stables. Everyone was practicing for the ball, so I grabbed one of the sidesaddles and tacked up Vanilla. I rode out into the arena and asked Syd what was going on.

Sydney: "We're practicing for tonight's grand entrance." I answered to Alisa. Then I decided to try the jump myself, I focused on keeping my center as June cantered toward the short fence. 1...2...3...Up! We soared over the fence and landed gracefully on the other side. "That was so exhilarating!"

Milly: I laughed at them and pulled one on also. "Wow, I don't know if I can do this." I said laughing, as I tried to get up in the saddle. As I struggled two strong hands wrapped around my waist and hoisted me up. As I settled into the saddle I looked down into Kale's eyes smiling. "How's Miley's horse?" I asked seriously and noticed everyone's attention was on us. "She's fine. It was a kind of sand colic. She'll be just fine, but for those of you who have mustangs from the new herd keep an eye your horses just in case." He said and then smiled up me. "So am I going to have to be the gentlemen and help all of you ladies into your saddles, or would you all prefer to try it yourselves?" He asked winking at Milly, while he asked the other girls.

Alisa-
"I wanna try the jump myself" I said. I backed up Vanilla a few steps, cantered towards it, and gracefully popped over it. It did feel a little weird on a sidesaddle, though.

Sydney: Thank goodness I was already aboard June. Kale was nice, but he wasn't my knight in shining jockey silks. "That's ok Kale, I think I'll just stay put. I'm going to try the jump again." I brought June back around to the front of the jump and we began cantering towards it once more. This time, I focused more on a three-point-position of sorts than keeping my center and it paid off, this jump was much smoother than the last.

Kale: I smiled at them nad looked up at Milly. "Well if none of ya'll want help I could just help the lovely Milly here off on again." I teased watching as Milly blushed slightly. "I do believe I'm going to ride away now." Milly said being sassy and nudged Lyra moving off slightly off center and looking flustered.

Arin: "You are truly dorll, Kale!" I drawled in ym best Scarlett O'Hara imitation as I steered Blackthorne towards the jump. His broad back and smooth gait made it easy for me to stay on. We cantered up to the small jump, and, in a twinkling, were up and over. While I had to grab the back of the saddle to keep from pitching forwards- never can get rid of that hint seat- i stayed on. "Wow, that was awesome! I felt like amedieval princess or something!" i patted my Icci skirt fondly.
Trillium: "I suggest that somebody call the ambulence before i even make the jump," i joked. but i was surprisingly calm- Panda would take care of me. "Here goes..." Pandora loped neatly up to the jump, even throwing in a flying lead change, and did a little up-and-over jump that i had anticipated. i was able to stay balanced, barely, and touched down giggling happily. "Just think of how fun it'll be in a dress!" I notcied that Ms. Picky was getting out of her Hummer, and Katie was going out to meet her...

Ms. Picky: My stiletto pumps crunched, and the heels wobbled, as I picked my way down the gravel driveway. "Well, well, well, what have we here?" I said by way of a greeting, standing near the fence by Miss Sterling. "You certainly have some talented sidesaddle riders. I believe that we'll be able to make this routine even more elaborate! Would you summon them?" I asked.
Mary Anne: I cantered over to Ms. Picky, and slid to a neat stop, but didn't dismount because I was afraid of looking a complete fool in my Icci couture. "Are we going to work on our entrance now?"
