Miley:
i walked ahead of Katie, Sid, Sam, and Mr. Bristow so i could get Dream over a few jumps before Sid came in to practice. i took him over 5 and went back to the barn to get Burst of Stardust. i wanted to see Sam against a real competitor. i ran Dream down the hallway and untacked him and then put him in his stall. all my horses' stalls were right next to each other and so i grabbed Stardust's lead rope and took her out of her stall. i tacked her up and sure enough after that Sam and Sid had gone around a few times in the arena. she came out and we headed for one of the trails.

Katie: i hopped up on Tinkerbell. "let's go to the trails!" i said, pointing out the barn door. "how about we start in Westwind paddock? like i said before, it's empty."

Sydney: "He's a stud, and I don't think racing would be a good idea. I really just want him to get used to his surroundings and stretch his legs. Not to mention reconnect with me a bit since I've been away. Westwind sounds great Katie! And Tinkerbell is too cute! Does he jump? He looks like he really could!"
OOC: Should we go there or keep posting here Hotspot?

Katie: "Tink is a great jumper! but he's also an awesome trail horse. i'm currently training him in cross-country, or possibly hunting." i said, gining Tink's blackish bay neck a hearty pat. then, i realized what Miley had just said... i covered my mouth with an overaccentuated gasp. "you sneak over to Berryhill to ride on their track! Treason!" i laughed. "but it's fine. it's not like i haven't my some of my horses graze in their woods, or took a joyride around the turf myself every now and then."

Sydney: "Actually I think it might be best if we kept Sam a secret, call him our say... Secret Weapon! I wouldn't dare chance someone seeing him! They'd drop out and there'd go all the fun!"
Mr.Bristow: "Sydney has got a point there, what's more we should all probably stick to Sterling's land and trails until after the competition so that they don't try anything that would ruin the sportsmanship of the competition." With that, he nudged Liberty into a trot and passed all of the girls, taking the lead.
Sydney: "Don't take any offense, he means well. Dad is a series play the game by the book type of guy. That's something else that bothered him about Ike. Dad had a partner when he started racing that turned on him. Trust takes time, and when you break that trust, sometimes its too far gone to rebuild." Sam arched his neck, ready to go but Sydney held him back, she wanted to explain to her new friends that her dad was thinking about the future by not ruining the present.

Sydney: "They probably would and then it wouldn't be any fun for us cause we couldn't whoop 'em in the competition!" I urged Sam into a trot to catch up with dad. Mr.Bristow: "You and Sam look great. I think that horse is the happiest he's ever been. Well, maybe not as happy as when he tossed Joe." Sydney: "He threw Joe!?!" Mr.Bristow: "Yep finally, I told Joe that whip was gonna come back to bite him one day. He was so sore from the fall Sam gave him he could hardly walk! Did'nt break anything, but he was holding his rump when he walked for a few days!" At that, Sydney and Mr.Bristow both laughed. OOC: I made Joe up right quick, he was an excersise rider at the Bristow farm and used a whip on Sam-who doesn't like whips. Sam never bucked or kicked but everyone, even Joe knew he didn't like it. I decided that Sam finally got fed up with Joe and his whip. The End!

Miley:
"so Katie, have you seen or heard of any wild horses around here?" i asked trying to keep a conversation.

OOC: sorry, mia, forgot about your question til now. we should adjourn to the arena as soon as the mustang issue is talked about! Katie: i laughed over the Joe story. "Sam sounds like a smart horse to me!" then, Miley asked if there were any wild horses around. "this is rural, mountainous Nevada," i replied. "We're in the foothills of the Calico mountains, notorious for their mustangs. Tink was actually born wild! not many venture this close to civilization, but i have seen a few up around the glacier ridge area. now that it's spring, they'll be foaling, which is always fun to see. i wouldn't go too near them, though- we want some wild horses to stay wild!"

Sydney: "I saw several herds on my way out here. And Tink's a mustang!! Cool! Where's he from?"
OOC: Hotspot, should we go to the arena or trail cause I mean now we're like, on the trail aren't we...?
