Sydney: I exited the arena and waited for Mary-Anne to join us... OOC: Hint hint

Miily: I followed behind the others as we came up to Hooligan trails and came up next to Sydney. "Hey, I'm going go up ahead and run, Lyra a little. And then as ya'll come up behind me....You can know if I've fallen off or am still up ahead practicing." I nudged Lyra and she went into a easy Canter and then a run.

Sydney: "Ok!" I shouted over the pounding of Lyra's hooves. I decided to let Sam start walking slowly down the trail, Mary-Anne could catch up if we were slow enough...

Mary Anne: Piper and I followed Sydney out of the courtyard, but, in the falling dusk, took a wrong turn. I figured out something was amiss when I heard hoofbeats, fast enough that they could only be Sam, behind me- but we did'n pass them! "Ok boy, let's see if we can find our way back to them!" I whispered to Piper, not relishing the prospect of a night on horseback in the woods in the dark. We backtracked, until Piper apparently saw the right trail and cantered down it. Syd and Sam were soon in sight! "Wow, are we glad to see you guys! We were almost lost!" I exclaimed.

Sydney: "I'm so glad you found us! It certainly got dark in a hurry, perhaps we should head back." I hesitated because part of me had a strong sense of adventure, the other part remind me of the race.

Mary Anne: "It can't hurt to stay out a little longer- and plus, horses have amazing night vision!" I said to Sydney. "And the stars are amazing! If we see shooting stars, it has to be a good sign for the competition, you know!"

Sydney: "Ok! I'm in!" on the inside I was punching myself for being such a worry wart, when you're with friends, you're safe. "Where should we ride to? Do you suppose we could see the waterfall at night?"

Mary Anne: "Honestly, I've forgotten the way. I'm sure it would be beautiful, though..." I drifted off, imagining a waterfall glittering with stars and cascading down into a reflective pool of silver light (on a poetic turn). "We could just see where our horses take us, but that may not be a good idea!"

Sydney: "I kinda know the way, I've ridden down here on June before." I think it's that way I said, pointing towards the right. "Shall we?" I asked.

Mary Anne: "Sure, why not?" I said as I nudged Piper and he took off at a prancy trot. "So, any nerves for the big race? Well, I'm suer you are used to that sort of thing, but still... it's for Monte!"

Sydney: "Yes and no. I'm not nervous about racing so much as the fact that I haven't raced in about a year. But I'm confident Sam will do all the work as he usually does, I'm just along for the ride!"

Mary Anne: "You'll do fine!" I told Syd. "Sterling Stables is taking Berryhill DOWN!"

Sydney: "You said it! Now lets see, if I remember correctly we're only a few minutes away from the waterfal and this is a fairly open area we're coming up on. June and I galloped through here but I don't want to try that in the dark. We could trot perhaps."

Mary Anne: "Sounds fantastic!" I said, nudging Piper into a flashy trot. He lifted his knees and let out a rumbling whinny to let the world know how good he felt.

Sydney: I eased Sam into a trot, he was enjoying staying up late as much as I was. We rode on in search of the water fall. "Do you have a date for the ball? You don't have to tell me, I was just asking for guy advice."
