Milly: I heard Katie call for us to get to bed and I smiled at Miley. Come on let's go." I saw Arin running for her cot and knew who had been watching us. I layed down and closed my eyes saying a few words of hope then, fell asleep dreaming of dancing with a handsome haired boy. I sighed in my sleep snuggling down deeper into my blankets preparing for a night of wonderland.

OOC: Sorry I missed some of the action! Busy past few weeks...
Sidney: My mind danced around as much as the topic of our conversations. I thought about preparing for the race, the ball and Mike and the possibility of owning Monte Cristo. I was excited and nervous at the same time.

Mary Anne: I woke with a start as Katie called "It's 11:11! Make a wish! " I pondered for a while, before making my wish right as the numerals turned to 11:12. I wish that everything turns out like it would in a book! I wished, hoping that that wish covered just about everything regarding the competition. And the ball! Well, that's that! To the dress gallery!!!!

OOC: we've all posted! next morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Katie: i awoke with a start, early as usual. The clock read only 6:15, and i snuck out of the barn before any of my students woke up. In my house, strangely quiet at such an odd hour, i whipped up homemade waffles with strawberries and a big pot of tea. today was judgement day- the start of the competition, in my mind! forty-five minutes later, once the big table in the dining room was set with seven places, i trotted back out to the barn. Tink was awake now, and he stretched his teak-colored neck out for me to rub. "good morning, starshines! the earth says...hello!" i said brightly, as the riders blearily rubbed their eyes. "breakfast is up at the house, if anyone's hungry."
Arin: "i'm famished!" i exclaimed drowsily. drowsily, until i remembered what had transpired last night- i had a new horse! i scurried over to Fly's stall, and gave both she and Blackthorne a healthy handfull of oats.
Trillium: "hmmm?" i'm sure i looked like a disheveled baby duck with my head of downy, straw-colored head all in a jumble, but i was too nervous to care. it would be covered up by a black wig soon, anyway. "i'll see you at Berryhill- i have to go and be a secretary!" i groaned, grabbing a white crepe skirt and mediteranean blue blouse to wear to work with my flats. "I'll just four-wheel on over, and then, once i get there, i'll have to go 'tutor' after about half an hour. i'll meet you guys on the road to here and put on my disguise!" i ran into the bathroom, changed, and was revving the engine almost at once. "see you soon!"
Sydney: I woke up feeling extra excited for the training Sam and I would have in the next few days. Once I had dressed in riding pants and a polo shirt, I checked on Sam and June. "Did you two sleep well?" I asked reaching up to rub Sam's ears. He felt my excitement, so did June. "I'll be back later and well go for a ride." I smooched a kiss to each horse before stepping outside to phone dad. He told me to just give Sam some excersise in teh arena today and gallop tomorrow. He was going to go look at his crazy friend's crazy horses today and wasn't sure when he'd get back. I then went in search of Katie in the barn.
Mary Anne: I was the last one up, as usual. I am decidedly NOT a morning person! I padded in my bare feet to Arin's new horse's stall. A beautiful, silver/gold, fine-boned mare gave me a calculating stare from beneath unbelieveably long eyelashes. She stepped closer and closer, until her nose almost reached my hand. Suddenly, a loud grumble startled her and she turned away quickly, obviously more interested in the unhappy grumbler attacking her than meeting little old me. "Oh horse, it's just my stomach!" I chided her. I was famished!
Just then, the smell of waffles drifted into the stable form Katie's house. "Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey!" I murmered to myself, though the waffles smelled ever so much better than eggs and bacon! I shuffled on across the ranch yard and into Katie's dining room. Almost everyone was already here! "Did I miss anyhting pivotal?" I asked, stifling a yawn and dishing myself up two steaming waffles, as big as my dinner plate, heaps of strawberries, and mounds of whipped cream.
Milly: I laid my head on the table and moaned. "Maybe five more minutes would do me well." I yawned adn closed my eyes and fell asleep no one will notice I thought as went into a deep sleep. right next to my waffles.
Miley:
my watch went off and i quietly slipped out of my sleeping bag. no one was a wake yet, Katie was still asleep but she was starting to wake up. i quickly grabbed my back pack and ran to the tack room to change into my riding gear. after i changed i picked up my saddle and grooming tools and walked to Rampage's stall. i tied him up in his stall and started grooming him. even this early in the morning he was cranky. i whispered to him and he settled down just a little bit but at least he was settling down. i put on my saddle and put the bit in his mouth. i walked him out of the barn and mounted him up when i got to the riding arena. i clucked to Rampage and we trotted off to the trails to practice some reining.
after about 1 hour of practicing, we galloped back to the barn and i slowed him down to a jog and we jogged right into his stall. i stripped his tack and gave him a quick grooming. i ran back to the tack room and grabbed my racing gear. when i put my tack away and grabbed my new gear. i walked out of the tack room and Katie was a wake she was getting ready and started cooking breakfast. i ran to Burst of Stardust's stall and tacked her up. i ground tied her and ran to Katie. "im going out and ill meet you at Berryhill. bye" i said running off to Stardust's stall. i grabbed Stardust and we jogged out to the trails. i looked behind me and saw the girls walking to Katie's house for breakfast. i gave a big YEEHAWW and Stardust reared up and we blasted off to Berryhill.
Katie: "Wake up, Milly!" i laughed, as the girl almost drenched her hair in syrup. "There's plenty of time to sleep after we've impressed the Berryhillers. Miley tore off already, and Trill had to go and work, so it's just us."
Arin: "That's fine!" i finished wolfing down my waffles and charged out to change into my favorite jeans, boots, and my sparklified "Rince!!!" T-shirt. "Thanks for brekky, Katie! it was delicious! are we going to ride over?"
Katie: "You girls can ride over, but i'm bringing the car." i said, jabbing a thumb out the window to where my little silver camry was parked. "We wouldn't want to carry all the dresses in our saddle bags, now would we?"
Milly: I jerked awake and looked bleary eyed at Katie. "Doesn't Kale go to Berryhill?" I asked then realized that he did. I sat up straight adn gobbled down my food. Then got up. I whistled and heard a niegh going toward it Lyra was at the fence adn smiled. "All right girl." I opened the gate and hooked a lead to her, then snagged Kale and Jack's horses as well. "All right then I'm heading out. " I said after saddling Lyra up. "See you there, Katie." I called and hoofed it to Berryhill.
Mary Anne: I dressed carefully, considering that I had only packed one wardrobe option from home: a white, puffy-sleeved blouse, my favorite jeans, and my newest riding boots, polished to a mahogany sheen. I twisted my curly hair up into an, um, messy messy bun before following Arin and Milly out to the stables. "I don't know about you guys, but I feel like barebacking today!" I called over the stall partition. I bridled Piper after givinghim a quick, but efficient grooming, and blew Little Miss Butterfly a kiss as I led him out of the stable. "Onward!" I bellowed as Piper jogged agitatedly around the yard.
Sydney: "I could drive over too if we need the space" I offered. I secretly hoped I wouldn't have to face Milton BerryHill again though...
Katie: "oh, go ahead and ride. then, you can give Sam a whirl on the track." i said, sensing that Sid was nervous about facing the music over there. "I'll make sure to keep Milto the Meanie occupied with mundane stuff, like where we'll be eating dinner prior to the ball and whose arena we'll use for the dressage trials. we also need to pick judges for the events...." i trailed off, hoping that i got the message across that she would be safe riding with zero interference. "we're also meeting with the BLM agent to resolve the mustang invasion that has happened these past few days."
Arin: "Wait up, you guys!" i grunted, as i tried to keep Fly from fidgeting in the crossties. She was a tall horse, and, although i was no munchkin myself, i was having trouble getting her to accept the gentle snaffle i offered her. At last, she grudgingly mouthed the bit, and i unclipped the leads, put one in my saddle bag, and mounted up. "Let's go! bye, Katie! C'mon, Sidney!" i hollered, testing out my new horse's trot. it was a bumpy, bouncing gait due to her nervousness in new surroundings. "Don't worry, girl," i whispered in her ear. "This will be your favorite place on earth after a few days."
Sydney: "No thanks, dad says a light work today and gallop tomorrow. I'll drive on over in a bit." I grab a waffle to eat on the go before heading to my jeep. I did want to gallop on track, but I could wait.
